At the border crossing between Lauenstein, a part of the Bavarian city Ludwigsstadt, and the Thuringian town Probstzella. The border crossing was opened for pedestrian and road traffic on 12 and 13 November 1989, respectively. The photo was taken near the cliff Falkenstein, after which the border crossing was named.
