Pedestrians and police officers at the border crossing between Lauenstein, a neighborhood in the Bavarian city Ludwigsstadt, and the Thuringian town Probstzella. The border was opened to pedestrians on 12 November and to motor traffic on 13 November 1989. The photo was taken near Falkenstein cliff, after which the border crossing was named.
