Temporary office for the Bavarian police and for customs Falkenstein border crossing between Lauenstein, a neighborhood of Ludwigsstadt (Bavaria) and the town of Probstzella (Thuringia). The border was opened to pedestrian and auto traffic on 12 and 13 November 1989, respectively. The photo was taken near Falkenstein cliff, after which the border crossing was named.
