"This photo was taken upon the return of the 'BSG HO Marzahn' football team. The 'Friends of Berlin' association of the district chapter Dillingen on the Danube had invited the team to take part in an indoor championship in Bavaria (Gundelfingen on the Danube) - we came fourth out of 8 teams! This sporting encounter resulted in a lasting friendship with Swabian Bavaria in the district chapter of Dillingen as well as in lots of adventures in Bavaria and Berlin - and over a period spanning nearly 20 years!"
