Near the Falkenstein border crossing between Lauenstein, a district of Ludwigstadt in Bavaria and the Thuringian municipal, Probstzella. The border crossing was open to foot traffic on 12 November 1989 and for road vehicles on 13 November 1989. This photo was taken near Falkenstein Rock, hence the name of the border crossing
