"Workers at the old brickyard in Quedlinburg said, 'It's all over come end of '91, unless, that is, someone takes us over.' I was embarrassed by this quiet, apprehensive hope to possibly even find an investor by means of this photo. Both men expressed their deep concern about simply being made redundant; something that did in fact happen. The brickyard was demolished."
